It’s been a week since the lockdown began. We’re still good on our food supply and vitamins. We’re healthy and pretty much okay, following a strict compliance of this enhanced community quarantine. It’s true, having a comfortable house, enough food and vitamins, a little entertainment while on lockdown, it’s safer to be in the house.
What’s bothering me is the number of health workers being infected by the virus. Worse is they’re dying! Just today, 2 doctors passed away because of COVID-19. One of them got infected from a patient who did not disclose her travel history.
Last night, I was talking to two of my colleagues. One of them from the US and the other is from South Africa. I was told, in NYC the Governor just locked down the entire city – no non-essential travel. In California, people are also locked down. Effectively 1 out of 5 people in the US are mandated to work from home! Lockdown appears to be everywhere. In South Africa, they also start working from home. Only Supermarkets, Hospitals, Pharmacies are open. Schools are closed too. They said, they have a really poor health system so if they won’t be able to control this virus, all of them might die! That’s so insane! The reality is crazy! Look what happened to Italy.
Philippines do not have enough doctors, nurses, health facilities to accommodate the need when this virus becomes defiant! And they’re dying, they’re being on 14 days isolation. They’re number is getting small. I remember this “entitled bitch” who posted online that people are just over reacting, that there’s nothing to be panic about and there’s no need to be on lock down. – I’m sure, she’s eating every word she had carelessly mumbled a few weeks ago!
Anyway, hatred won’t help. Our Government might be as incompetent as ever but the least that we can do right now is to stay at home. Follow our leaders. Stay clean and pray so hard! Night and day! The Lord will hear us. We might not understand what’s happening or we might not now what the future holds, the Lord has an amazing plan to those who keep their faith in Him.
Together, we’ll get through this. The Lord will help us. Trust him!
