Day 3 – Unusual Words

Horripilation occurs in my arms as I enter the gate of that old house. It has a spacious yard with tall trees around it and the green grass which seemed to be newly trimmed. I can smell the pleasant petrichor of the post rain afternoon. It looks pretty quiet and peaceful actually.

The old house is huge, I guess it has a lot area of 2000 sqm and a floor area of 600sqm. It’s so huge and I’m not sure how I am able to stay here for a week, alone, with only a caretaker who leaves at 6 in the evening. But I have to do this to propitiate the investigation of the mysterious abduction of the previous owner.

He was seen in the CCTV running outside the main door then he disappeared. Definitely, as a private paranormal investigator, I need to see all angles. It’s not easy to decide for things like this.

But this is my calling, this is my passion. Something that I had to make so much blandishment for my Fiance to allow me to do this months before our wedding. I can still remember the lassitude in his face before I left that Friday evening for this huge project. I feel scared at some point but the eagerness to know the truth motivates me more to accomplish this important task, whatever it takes.
